Dr. Robert McLaughlin, author of The Crisis In American Education: a Love Story

Dr. Robert McLaughlin has spent four years at Boeing as an electronic technician and thirty-six years in public education. He served as teacher and vice-principal at Davis High School, first Director of a Technical Skills Center, back to Davis High School as the principal for eight years and Superintendent of Union Gap School District for eleven years. He has taught classes for BYU-Hawaii in Tonga, Central WA University and Heritage University.  He and his wife Carolynn, have raised six children, including a Native American foster child.

His love for children of all ages inspired him to write this book trying to open the eyes of parents, teachers, school administrators, concerned citizens and politicians that almost every child can become a proficient reader using the right reading strategies.

Robert’s goal is to spend most of the income from this book helping students to read by direct instruction using Read Right strategies and helping students with vision problems hampering their reading.
